"English gardens are not made to a plan, but to a feeling in the head". Goethe

Welcome to gardeners worldwide - Our aim is to give you information about our Society, when and where we hold meetings and to communicate with like minded people who enjoy all aspects of growing flowers, shrubs, vegetables and fruit, whether in a garden, allotment, tub or indoors.

Please have a look at our monthly programme of events - we book fabulous speakers who entertain us on a variety of horticultural topics. And check out our News page for the latest information from our Society.

CHANGE TO NEXT MEETING:   Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 29th January 2019 at the Warsash Victory Hall at 7.30 pm.  There is a change to our published programme as follows:

David Hurrion, previously our February speaker, will now follow the AGM with his talk on Essential Pruning.   Helen Sosnowski, Fareham Borough Council Country Ranger, will be joined by Mark Harrison-Ford to give a presentation on Warsash Common and Coldeast Woodland Park.

Snapshot of Events
Annual Plant Sale

Our popular Plant Sale  was held on Saturday 12th May at the Victory Hall, Warsash.  This was an opportunity to buy early flower and vegetable seedlings, plus a variety of annuals and perennials - at very reasonable prices.  There were also very tasty cakes for sale. Our next Plant Sale will be on Saturday 11th May 2019.

Warsash Village Garden Show:

The Warsash Village Show took place on Saturday 8th September 2018 at the Victory Hall.  Opened by our Chairman, Jill Milton, this event was a great success, despite the recent hot weather.  The standard of entries of very high in all classes, from horticulture, bakery, preserves and photography. Guests were also able to enjoy refreshments in our cafe and purchase plants from our sales table.  The tombola stalls were also very successful.  We are hoping to repeat this success in two years' time so start planning your entries for September 2020.   For more information click on the 2018 Village Garden Show on the left of this page.
